U.d.d.e.r.s ice cream: Our happy booster

January 29, 2009 | 25 Comments

They make you smile. They make you blissful.

They are call ice cream. They are call gelato. They are call sorbet.

They come in scoops. They come in pints. They come in sticks.

They have all sorts of flavours. They are our happy-booster.

I like nuts, just hazelnuts anyway.

I see myself trying Pistachio,

well it’s just another type of nut anyway.

Whole natural nuts. Intense, pure, nutty.

There’s two types; pears and Chinese white pears.

This one, was pear, sorbet.

No milk, no cream, a fruit puree.

Akin to eating, the real pear.

O, what creative use of the wall. What better ways to improve,

than to get customers to vote, for the new flavours.

Yakult, White chocolate with Macademia liqeuer, choya, & Ribena

are the flavours under R&D right now.

A Note: Pure Pistachio & Pear sorbet

Classic single scoop $3.20, double scoop $4.90

Premium (liqueur) single scoop $3.90, double scoop $5.90

Freezing the bowl for the ice cream to last longer, well done!

I think this place is known for their liquer ice-cream. Rum and Raisin’s pretty goood. Tom’s Palette does a better rendition of Pistachio while Ice-Cream Gallery does a better rendition of durian ice-cream. In fact, i thought the prices at Udders were slightly over-priced. Tried their Green Tea ice-cream before, too diluted for my liking. Bah, real pity.

sihan: haha you and your pistachio! lol

pammiez: we didn’t try any liquer ice cream at all! ahh.. i been wanting to go tom’s. over priced when compared with who? they are cheaper than daily scoop, slightly more than island creamery. haha.

rachel: this is the one in novena! haha. they only got one outlet if i’m not mistaken. yeah its far from where i live too, otherwise i will be going quite often. haha

Love U.D.D.E.R.S. Favourite of my friends and me. Some say Tom’s Palette is better…but for me, David got it right. Intense flavours, strong alcohol. Generous taste.

I haven tried raffles creamery yet, is it good? Yeah udders is worth trying :)

i tried it a couple of times, so far i only liked the pina colada flavor with the museli and macadamia nuts.

the next two flavors i tried were rather disappointing. tried the thai tea with brownie and macadamia nuts, it was too jelat. the recent flavor i tried was tahitian vanilla with strawberry and the nuts again.. hmm.. nothing fantastic. like my friend said, it’s prolly best just to eat the ice cream on it’s own.

last sunday when we went, the ‘teppanyaki-ed’ ice cream were melting at an astonishing speed.. not sure if it’s coz the weather or what. was quite disappointing.. :p

go try and tell me your combi.. :D then one day after work i’d head there and try.. hee!

lauffabug: you mean you tried raffles creamery a few times already? i had a friend who had the raffles feed card, 50% off the food if i’m not wrong. haha. got teppanyaki ice cream one eh? lol

    February 21st, 2009 @ 1:23 am

yup, like in total 3 times coz near office and when in need of ice cream fix. haha, probably not going to go back anytime soon.

tried the B&J’s coconut ice cream today at Vivo City. I like it for it’s salty caramel, strong coconutty flavor and walnuts! never knew walnuts and coconut really compliments each other! Soooo going to get a tub next week!

What’s the feed card? How to get it and does it entitle one to discount at the dim sum place you just featured?

    Yup, teppanyaki-ed upon request. :p

lauffabug: haha you love your ice cream eh? lol! raffles feed card u need to pay membership for it one. if i not wrong abt 500 a year? cant rmb the exact price tho, and yes it entitle the user to 50% off the food under the raffles branch.

    February 21st, 2009 @ 2:32 pm

hmmm 500 a year.. seems reasonable but i guess not for me. haha. yeah, i side tracked on my shopping trip in town today as there was some fair going on as usual in Isetan supermart and they were selling ice cream from dunno where. bought like 8 small cups and got 2 free from the assistant.

i had to cut shop my shopping trip and take a cab back home! Haha

going to post the entry sometime soon, they have quite a couple of flavors which i like and i think i am in that salty sweet ice cream mode currently. :D
