guys check out the new menu at SSD…u shud try the rockfeller(reuben sandwich),Gramercy Burger(250gm) and also the Times Square(pork ribs)..and foremost u can choose ur own side dish for the main course.

xiix: sorry to hear you didn’t have a good experience there. When i went they were quite understaff too, because it was around 3pm, and i think they wasn’t expecting so much people, but suddenly a big crowd of ang moh came in so they couldn’t really handle.

but i think they tried their best that time already, so my visit was still all right like what Fen said. Not fantastic, but still acceptable.

Quite surprised by the service. I don’t expect it from the hotel. But my visit with SSD was ok. Not fantastic as there was communication breakdown but acceptable.

I went there a few years back and was appalled by the horrendous service. The staff were busy chatting amongst themselves and the malay supervisor was busy entertaining his relatives visiting the restaurant.

Orders were messed up; when food arrived, sides were either missing or sauces went amok; the unlimited calarmasi juice was never topped up. All in all a big con.

Never again, unless hell freezes over.

Frankly speaking, the serving didn’t surprise me especially when I have seen a photo of the decadence cake in this entry.

Second, wait till u try the dessert from Bobby’s, Tony’s and Dan Ryans… Those are really huge and I felt so sinned after finishing it… Much more sweeter than the decadence cake.

about 4 years ago, they used to have tiramisu to die for. i had that for my 16th birthday… then i went back 3 years later and they didn’t sell tiramisu anymore. i was really really upset that was the best birthday cake ever!

I’ve been wanting to check out this place! Heard good things about their burgers and from your post, I think I’ll like their portions. Too bad the choc cake was too sweet…for a moment I was tempted to try it.
